Team Building Exercise Descriptions...

All of the following exercises are regularly used in team building and leadership development events:

Chasm CrossingChasm Crossing...

Traverse the 20-foot wide chasm using limited equipment.

This task needs a great deal of lateral thinking, as there is only one solution.

Electric FenceElectric Fence...

A box of equipment must be retrieved from within a compound consisting of an electric fence and a minefield.

Many solutions are possible but none are obvious.

Poles ApartPoles Apart...

Each team member must sign his or her name on a pad of paper.

Unfortunately, the paper is in the centre of a minefield making the ground out of bounds.

UXB Team ExerciseUXB...

Retrieve the large unexploded bomb and defuse it before its timer reaches zero.

Ingenuity, problem solving and nerves of steel are required for this task.

Spiders WebSpiders Web...

Pass team members through a giant spider’s web.

Each hole can only be used once and the spider is on patrol.

Nuclear HazardNuclear Hazard...

Toxic waste is leaking from a barrel. The remaining contents must be transferred to a safe storage container 10 feet away.

Team co-ordination is vital.

Plumbers NightmarePlumbers Nightmare...

A ball must be floated to the top of a short tube. The only water available is held in a container 10 metres away.

Pipe, guttering, ropes and supports are available.

Stepping StonesStepping Stones...

Cross the swamp using the fixed stepping stones. Wooden planks help to span the gaps but the stones are colour coded so that certain planks can only touch certain stones.

Empire Crate BuildingEmpire Crate Building...

A tower must be built that will support the weight of a team member.

Milk crates are used and a safety line catches the participant when the tower falls.

These are just the more commonly used team building exercises. Many other tasks are also available together with bespoke tasks built to your requirements.
