The Booking
- All activities must be booked in advance.
- Payment in full is required before the event date (payment terms are detailed below).
- Arrive 15 minutes before your allocated start time. The start and finish times for activities are fixed. It may not be possible to incorporate late arrivals into the group after instruction has started.
- Proof of age will be requested if the instructor suspects that a participant is under age for the activity. If you do look young for your age please bring ID.
- If we suspect you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs you will not be allowed to participate.
- All participants will be required to fill in an attendance form to acknowledge they:
- Are aware of the potential risks involved
- Confirm they are physically and mentally fit
- Will follow the instructions given by the instructor(s)
- Are old enough to participate
- Are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Should Adventure Sports feel it's necessary to cancel your booking, it shall use reasonable endeavours to notify you as soon as possible. You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancellation under this clause, but no other compensation shall be payable.
Payment
- Full payment is required 14 days prior to the event date.
- Bookings with a value greater than £240 (inc. VAT) can be held with a 30% non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance must be paid 14 days prior to the event date.
- Payment in full will be required at the time of booking for events placed less than 14 days in advance.
- The booking is not valid until payment in full has been made and an email confirmation received. The booking may be altered, moved or cancelled until payment in full has been made.
- Any exceptions to these payment requirements must be agreed at the time of booking.
- Payments are non-refundable and the booking cannot be changed or transferred to a new date or time apart from in the following circumstances:
- If any changes are made (for example a reduction in numbers) we can refund the payment if we are notified a minimum of 14 days prior to the event.
- If your event is cancelled due to a Covid related incident, it will automatically be postponed. If that is not practical, then a refund will be made.
- The event is cancelled due to extreme weather conditions. This applies when the Met Office (www.metoffice.gov.uk) has issued a Red Warning for Warwickshire for the event date.
- Adventure Sports will attempt to contact the person who made the booking using the contact details provided at the time of the booking.
- A participant does not reach the required level of ability during the initial activity training session.
- Refunds will be made within 7 days
- Refunds will not be made for:
- Late arrivals
- No-shows
- Participants arriving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Participants arriving who appear to be too young and cannot provide proof of age
- Activities ended early due to the inability of a participant to follow the safety instructions given.
Event Details
- Every effort is made to ensure mechanical reliability. In the unlikely event of breakdown another time slot may be offered at the instructor's discretion.
- In the case of intentional damage to property, Adventure Sports will pursue those responsible for compensation (for equipment repairs and loss of revenue incurred).
- Adventure Sports is not liable for any losses or damage to clothing, footwear, personal effects or vehicles.
- It is the responsibility of any participant to inform the instructor if they have any illness, disability or injury.
Clothing Advice
- Wear outdoor footwear. Walking boots are ideal. Wellies are suitable if wet. Trainers can also be worn, but they may become muddy. No sandals / flip flops / open toed shoes.
- Long trousers and a long sleeved top must be worn if your event includes quad bikes.
- A waterproof jacket and trousers are advisable if rain is forecast.
- Safety equipment will be provided.
- Overalls can be hired for £3.50.
- Crash helmets will be provided for many driving activities. Participants may bring their own helmets if they comply with the following:
- Marked with British Standard BS 6658: 1995.
- Full face – the body of the helmet covers the entire head, apart from the eyes (open face helmets are not suitable unless it is a helmet specifically made for ATV's).
- Fully operable visor and chin strap
- The shell of the helmet must be undamaged and unmodified
- The instructor has the final decision as to whether the helmet is suitable.
